| Monday, April 27 2009 - Atlantic Canadians excel at Penn Relays |

Atlantic Canadian athletes were front and centre on the international stage at this year's edition of the Penn Relays. Jared Connaughton ran the third leg on Canada's 4x100m relay squad; the team finished fourth in the international section running 38.85, and in the process qualified for this summer's IAAF World Championships in Germany. Two other Atlantic athletes also made the World standard in a relay. Adrienne Power and Jenna Martin were members of the Canadian 4x400m relay team who finished 6th in a time of 3:30.85, also making the qualifier for the World Champs.
