| Sunday, July 19 2009 - Canadian Junior Championships, Day 2 |
The second day of the Canadian Junior Track & Field Championships were highlighted by more medals for Atlantic athletes and many others advancing to finals. Medallists on Saturday included Rachael McIntosh (NS) with gold in the women's heptathlon, Barry Britt (NB) with silver in the men's 5000m, and Simon Watts (NS) with silver in the men's high jump. This brings the Atlantic total to 2 gold and 2 silver so far with many strong contenders still to compete in finals on Sunday.
